CIFST Manitoba Section Cookbook 2021/2022

We've pulled together a collection of appetizer, snack, breakfast, dinner, dessert and drink recipes from the kitchen of the CIFST Manitoba Section Management Committee members of 2021/2022. Enjoy the scientific fun facts for each recipe provided by our team of food scientists, nutritionists and biosystem engineers. All proceeds will go to Breakfast Club of Canada. In Canada, 2 million children go to school on an empty stomach and they need energy to learn and reach their full potential. By nourishing our young citizens, we ensure our country grows up healthy and strong. The Breakfast Club of Canada serves more than 257, 743 nutritious breakfast daily in 1887 schools throughout Canada, ensuring that children have an equal chance to learn. In Manitoba, on a daily basis, they feed 9,742 children at 57 breakfast programs throughout the province. With COVID-19 shutting down schools across the country, the concern is about making sure these children from food insecure homes have the food they need. Breakfast Club of Canada has launched an online campaign to raise $5 million to help in this effort.
