Event Cancellation Policy:

1. Cancellation by Participant:

   • Participants who wish to cancel their reservation must notify CIFST (Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology) in writing via email at least 14 days prior to the scheduled tour date.
   • Cancellations made within 14 days of the tour date will not be eligible for a refund.
   • CIFST may, at its discretion, consider refund requests for cancellations made within 14 days of the tour date in exceptional circumstances, subject to review.
   
   

2. Cancellation by CIFST:

   • CIFST reserves the right to cancel the wine tour event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather, insufficient enrollment, or circumstances beyond our control.
   • In the event of cancellation by CIFST, participants will be notified as soon as possible, and a full refund of the registration fee will be provided.
   • CIFST will not be liable for any other expenses incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation costs.
   
   

3. Refund Process:

   • Refunds for cancellations made in accordance with this policy will be processed within 14 business days of receiving the cancellation request.
   • Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment.
   
   

4. Transfers:

   • Participants may request to transfer their reservation to another individual by notifying CIFST in writing at least 7 days prior to the tour date. Transfers requested within 7 days of the tour date may not be accommodated.
   
   

5. No-shows:

   • Participants who fail to attend the wine tour event without prior notification will not be eligible for a refund.

By registering for the wine tour event, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms of this cancellation policy. CIFST reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without prior notice.
