Food seminar

CIFST Manitoba is hosting a Food Seminar focused on pulses. Margaret Hughes, VP Sales and Marketing, Avena Foods will share her experience transitioning from an 80-year old family company to a larger, privately held corporation. She will elaborate on the opportunities and challenges this presents, including discussion of the benefits of a more technical and scientific approach to processing pulses and oats. Dr. Michel Aliani of the University of Manitoba based at the Saint Boniface Hospital Research Center will present his latest research on the health benefits of yellow peas using metabolomic approaches. The evening will start off with networking over food and beverage. Space is limited so register early!
