The rise of plant-based and alternative dairy offerings provides an optimal format for incorporating added nutrition. 51% of new product launches (dairy alternative drinks, meal replacement drinks and sports protein based RTD beverages) in Canada (2017-2020) claim a high/source of protein, 23% make a sugar claim (source: Innova).
