Technical Seminar 2023 - Trends, Challenges in Oilseed Products, and Value-added Applications of By-products

CIFST Manitoba Section is hosting an on-line technical seminar on Oilseed Products and By-products, featuring Steven Robbins, Director, Product Development and Innovation at Richardson International, and Dr. Nandika Bandara, Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in Food Proteins and Bioproducts.

It is estimated that processing canola and soybeans in Canada is now responsible for $6.5 billion in economic activity every year. Over the last decade, approximately $1 billion have been invested in plant construction; crush capacity has more than doubled, reaching a new high of 11.1 million tonnes for canola and 3.2 million tonnes for soybeans in 2021. Let's find out more about the trends, challenges in oilseed products, and the value-added applications of their by-products!
